Pumpkin Cider “Latte” That Kids Will Love

Pumpkin Cider Latte That Kids Will Love

Today is the first day of fall, and you know what that means? PUMPKIN-EVERYTHING is in the air! We’re talking about pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin carvings, and you guessed it… Pumpkin Spiced Latte! To children, such a beverage might be a little too much for them so we at Certified Nannies of America came up with this super-duper easy Pumpkin Cider “Latte” recipe that they will all love. Of course, minus the hyperactivity as a result of caffeine!

Pumpkin Cider “Latte”

Ingredients:

– 1 cup 100% apple juice
– 1 cup pumpkin puree
– 1 cup boxed coconut milk
– 1/4 ground nutmeg
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Use a medium saucepan, and mix the coconut milk, juice, and pumpkin puree over medium heat.
  2. Simmer the mixture for approximately 10 minutes.
  3. Add the nutmeg and cinnamon. Whisk the beverage until all the ingredients are well blended.
  4. Using a cheesecloth or a fine strainer, strain the drink to remove some puree bits.

And voila! Is it super easy right? This recipe is good for up to four servings. Serve this beverage either hot or cold and enjoy it with some treats like cookies!

Need more reason to celebrate Halloween? We can’t blame you. We’ve also been doing a lot of things to get ready for making a Halloween Bucket List just to heighten our wait! We’re carving pumpkins, playing in the leaves, and dancing to Thriller all day until it’s time to dress up into our costumes, and take the children to Trick-or-Treat!

We also found a Halloween Scavenger Hunt to be super fun! The thing that gets the kids really riled up is the treats entailed to them. I mean, who can blame them? We love sweet surprises too.

Of course, it’s not too early to make Halloween costumes either. This year, we’re thinking about making a sushi roll, sushi, and crazy cat lady.
